Hi dudes,
The ladies from A Little Wicked here checking in with a little fashion query.
If your like us, you tuned in to the Grammys last night and enjoyed the outfits as much as the music—
(Roberta Flack was my FAVE).
From crazy Lady Gaga to Beyonce we noticed a continued trend of super strong shoulders.
RiRi (Rihanna) rocked this look lots last year, and we’re still seeing this structured silhouette on the runway. Especially at the Armani 2010 Fall show in Paris last week.

It was no surprise to learn that Gaga Loca and Ms. Sasha Fierce pulled from Armani’s Privé collection for last nights show.
So power shoulders are hot, we get it. The question is: can normal chicks sport this style without looking too, well, Gaga?
Because we stock all things cool, A Little Wicked carries several pieces 80s pieces (an awesome Escada dress, a “Michael Jackson/Thriller-esque leather jacket, etc) that feature salient shoulders, BUT most customers aren’t super comfortable with the look—especially girls who think they already have broad shoulders.
Our clientele are a pretty savvy bunch, so to not see this trend translate from runway to street makes us wonder if this is one trend that is more fashion fantasy than reality.
What do you think? Strong Shoulders—Cool Or Costume? Let us know in comment section below.
Mil gracias, and as always, stay wicked,

Hello amigos!
Though it is a blistery 20 degrees in NYC, and feels like 8 degrees (I’m typing with gloves on ) we at A Little Wicked are beyond ready for spring—and most importantly Spring ATTIRE.
Accordingly we have begun to add some spring pieces to the store, to whet our fashion palates. Now if we only had somewhere to wear it, Miami anyone??
See a cute example from our collection below, available at A Little Wicked NOW.

Helloooooo Everybody!
So Style.com has declared the Olsen Twins as the DEFINITIVE style icons of the decade, and we kinda agree. Though sometimes their looks are batshit crazy, the petite wacky twinsies truly have created their own singular style. Their own brand of baglady chic was wildly different from the other ho-hum boho-ness of say Sienna Miller or Nicole Richie.
I spoke with Barney’s Creative Director Simon Doonan last year about starlets and fashion (watch the interview HERE) and he was a HUGE fan of what he called the twins “Eccentric Glamour” style.
What do you think: Olsen Twins-Most Influential Style Of The Last Decade, or Olsen Twins-Most Delusional Style Of The Last Decade??

ETHEREALLY SEXY CREATIONS—
PERFECT FOR ADDING A LITTLE MAGIC TO YOUR HOLIDAY SEASON!

Some things just don’t go together, like fire and ice, Stella Mccartney and fur, Kate Moss and food, and denim on denim.
(See Brit & Justins mind boggling example)
The “denim-combo no-no” was my firm fashion rule until our favorite “polymorphic” palsy Elisa Jimenez swung by the store last week to drop off her latest threads—if you’re in NYC this week she’s having a trunk show on SUNDAY Dec. 13.
Anyway, the bohemian babe loves her some layers:halters over t-shirts over pants is the norm. But her ensemble this day gave me pause: she pulled the DOUBLE DENIM.

Now this is usually a fashion faux pas up there with panty lines and Crocs, but somehow on Elisa it didn’t look so egregious.
I don’t know if you can see in the pics, but the denims were of similar wash—maybe that made the look a little less jarring?
Or perhaps because it was an “all bottom” affair, as opposed to a vest/shirt and jeans combo.
Whatever it was, it wasn’t that bad, and.. even kinda cute..
Hmmm, what do you guys think. Is there EVER a right way to rock a double denim? Let me know in comments section below…

You know how you get a new haircut and EVERYONE from your local coffee lady to your surly cabdriver tells you how HOT you look?
That is just how we feel at A Little Wicked—pretty, oh so pretty—cuz our store is SWIMMING in praise,

While we have gotten some wicked press as of late, we’re especially proud of this write-up as Dana is the realio dealio when it comes to retail and fashion. Not only is she a bad ass writer, see below as she actually makes clogs looks SEXY: Now THAT is a wicked fashion warrior.

A Little Wicked hit the streets to ask men “What do you prefer on women boots with heels or flat boots?” Mostly all men answered with heels because they find it more appealing and sexier. One man even said “…with heels because it lifts the buttocks,” interesting normally women wear boots with heels to feel edgier and sexier, but if its lifting our butts then boots with heels should be our choice this winter. Now in day boots can be found in any shoe retailer in many different colors, shapes and sizes. Boots come with 4 inch heels, flat, studded, booties, peep-toe, laced up and even glow in the dark. Men actually don’t seem to notice they such know they prefer their women looking hot. We also approached the men and asked them to pick out an outfit for women with their desired boot height, a lot of men opted for boots with heels or flat boots with tights, the tights where either dressed with a funky shirt or a simple dress. If you are hoping to get the look, here at A little wicked, we carry the hippest and funkiest dresses and tunics designed by Elisa Jimenez. Her designs will have you getting head turning looks all day, and have you feeling like a hot wicked mama. Comment below and ladies leave your point of view and what boots you prefer.
